Your space. Your keys. Your Arca.

A private home
for your digital life.

Backups, important files and everything worth keeping.

ArcaCipher is building privacy-focused UK cloud storage with encryption at its core. A place for your data, with you in control of who can read it.

Getting ready for launch. Accounts and uploads are not available yet.

A new ark for what matters.

A little less cloud. A little more yours.

Meet your Arca.

An Arca is your own storage space: somewhere to keep the files you care about and a separate copy of the things you cannot afford to lose.

We’re designing ArcaCipher for people backing up a laptop, households protecting photos, and businesses looking after their files. For developers and NAS owners, the plan includes S3-compatible storage that works with familiar tools.

Independent, UK-focused and run by m4v3r1ck Dev Ltd. A storage service with a clear purpose: looking after data without turning it into an advertising profile or AI training material.

Privacy is the starting point

Encrypted before it leaves you.
Readable only with your keys.

The planned ArcaCipher experience is encrypted by default, built around a zero-knowledge approach to file contents.

  1. 01

    Your device

Your files are encrypted locally, before upload.

  2. 02

    Your Arca

The storage service receives encrypted file contents.

  3. 03

    Your keys

You keep control of the secrets needed to restore them.

Already encrypting your backups?

One clear encryption path. No unnecessary extra layer.

The intended compatibility mode will let tools that already encrypt uploads use S3 storage without an additional ArcaCipher encryption layer. For example, rclone crypt or an encrypted Hyper Backup task can encrypt files on your device first.

rclone alone does not encrypt file contents. If you bypass ArcaCipher’s encryption, your tool must provide client-side encryption to keep those contents private. Raw, unencrypted S3 uploads would not be zero-knowledge. HTTPS protects the connection; it is not a replacement for encrypting the files.

Default encryption, compatibility controls and S3 access are still in development. Metadata such as sizes and transfer times may remain visible. Keep a safe copy of your keys: do not assume we can recover a lost encryption secret.

Start small. Make room as you grow.

Simple storage.
A straightforward starting point.

10GB free is planned for launch, with paid storage at £4.99 per TB per month, calculated from actual usage. You won’t have to buy a whole terabyte to store a smaller amount.

£4.99 / TB / month

The planned rate for larger storage needs. Charged incrementally for the storage you actually use — not in fixed 1TB blocks. Final terms and tax treatment will be confirmed before launch.

Usage-based pricing

These are plans, not an available offer. Allow space for encrypted data, backup metadata and any older versions your backup tool retains. Features and final terms are still being developed.

From an idea to running infrastructure

Real hardware.
A business taking shape.

We’re building the foundations for an independent UK storage service — and there’s a story worth sharing along the way.

Build note / 21 October 2026

Hardware assembled.
Development moving forward.

The hardware has arrived and been assembled. Cluster Zero, our Ceph storage infrastructure, is now up and running as development continues towards launch.

  • Client-side encryptionWork progressing well

Significant functional testing, backup-and-restore validation, security testing and penetration testing remain before launch. ArcaCipher is still in development; the customer service is not yet available or production-ready.

A considered launch.
A stronger foundation.

Hardware is only part of the work. Customer access, Arca management, encryption and real backup-and-restore testing need to be ready before we invite you in. We’ll publish launch details here when they’re confirmed.
